Royal Visit Pakistan Day-4 spent in Lahore in Pictures

On their fourth day of the historic visit to Pakistan, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Lahore visiting the monumental Badshahi Mosque and attended the other scheduled events. The royal couple made stops at the SOS Children’s Village, National Cricket Academy, and Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre.

As the royals touched down at Lahore, as usual, Kate Middleton’s choice of dress was the center of attraction. Yet again she nailed her look in a white shalwar kameez by Pakistan’s local brand Gul Ahmed with a shawl by Maheen Khan and completed her appearance with her Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were received by CM Punjab Usman Buzdar and Governor Chaudry Sarwar at the airport.

 

While being in Lahore, the royal couple’s first stop was the SOS Children’s Village. Where Prince William and Kate Middle took part in a storytelling session with a musician having a finger puppet in their hands. Ans also celebrated a birthday party.

Kate Middleton also gave her first speech during the visit, wishing the children in Urdu. In a brief speech, she spoke about family values and relationships.

Later they arrived at the National Cricket Academy. The Duke and the duchess also showed off their cricketing skills, as they laughed while batting and bowling at the NCA along with Pakistan cricketers. Pakistani national team cricketer Shaheen Shah Afridi kept the wicket during the fun match.

After having fun at the NCA, the couple headed to the monumental Badshahi Mosque situated in the heart of the walled city. The royal couple switched into newly selected dresses for the day. Kate Middleton yet again wears a green shalwar kameez by Pakistani designer Maheen Khan, who designed it especially for her visit along with a matching headscarf, what we call dupatta. While Prince William donned a light suit.

The royal couple’s last stop of the day was at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital.

At the hospital, William and Kate met seven-year-old Wafia Rehmani from Afghanistan, who has a kidney tumour. Little Wafia hosted a toy tea party on her bed and also gave a matching tiara like she was wearing, to the duchess.
