Sahir Hasan Remanded in Police Custody Over High-Profile Drug Case

Sahir, who has worked as a model and actor, was arrested on drug possession charges, with police recovering narcotics worth Rs50 million from him.

Sahir Hasan, the son of renowned Pakistani actor Sajid Hasan, has been remanded in police custody for a day in connection with a drug case linked to the Mustafa Amir murder investigation.

Sahir was presented before a judicial magistrate at the Central Jail Judicial Complex, where police requested a five-day remand but were granted only a one-day extension.

Sahir Hasan was arrested on charges of drug possession and distribution. Police claim he had been supplying drugs in upscale areas of Karachi for the past two years.

In court, Sahir Hassan denied any involvement in the murder case, claiming he was arrested from his home and later falsely implicated in drug possession.

His lawyer, Advocate Faraz Faheem, asserted that the Darakhshan Police Station was deliberately framing his client. He further stated that Sajid Hassan had filed a case against the same police station in 2022, suggesting possible retaliation.

During the investigation, Sahar Hassan reportedly admitted to being involved in drug sales for the past two years and revealed that he had supplied drugs to the prime suspect, Armaghan Qureshi. Authorities also recovered foreign-branded narcotics from their possession, estimated to be worth approximately 5 million PKR.

The drugs were sourced from suppliers named Bazil and Yahya.

Sahir allegedly revealed an extensive international drug trafficking network, with drugs originating from Colombia and smuggled into Pakistan via California, then distributed through courier services.

Sahir confessed to buying and selling narcotics, operating his business primarily through Snapchat. He also disclosed the names of prominent clients and individuals involved in the drug trade.

Sahir’s involvement in the Mustafa Amir murder case is under investigation. He admitted to supplying drugs to both Mustafa Amir and the prime suspect, Armaghan.

The court has ordered the police to present further evidence as the investigation continues.
