Schools in Sindh to remain closed for another week!

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah on Friday has announced that the schools in the province will remain closed for one more week.

Addressing a press briefing, chief minister Sindh said that the educational institutions would resume in-person learning from August 30 which was earlier scheduled to start from coming Monday, Aug 23.

CM Shah said that all teachers and parents also need to show their vaccination certificates.

“All the staff should be vaccinated before the reopening of schools,” he added.

The Sindh health department on Friday sounded the alarm of Covid case reemergence raising reservations on the reopening of schools starting August 23.

The government will decide on the fate of academic institutions heeding the advisory by the health department of Sindh, as the vaccination of teachers, staff, and students’ parents has not yet been completed, as per the health office.

On August 17, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah had announced that the educational institutes in Sindh will resume classes from August 23.

“One of the parents of a student will have to submit their NADRA-issued vaccination certificate to the school administration,” he had said.
