Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab on Tuesday stated that schools in the province will not open from August 15.
It was a day ago when the All Pakistan Private Schools’ Association made an announcement to reopen all private schools across the country.
Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Murtaza Wahab said: “No school in Sindh will open from August 15. We will not compromise on children’s health and will not allow private school administrations to do so either.”
He also urged citizens to keep following precautionary measures, stating that new COVID-19 cases were still emerging.
“We should not lose sight of precautionary measures. If we don’t follow precautionary measures, cases may increase.”
