Second and Final Solar Eclipse of 2024 to Occur on Oct 2-3, Will Not Be Visible from Pakistan
The annular solar eclipse, often called a "ring of fire" eclipse on October 2 will primarily be visible in parts of southern Chile and Argentina
The second and final solar eclipse of 2024 will take place on the night of October 2-3.
However, the phenomenon will not be visible from Pakistan, leaving skywatchers in the region disappointed.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the eclipse will begin at 8:45 PM PST and will end approximately at 2:47 AM.
The eclipse will be observable in regions of North and South America, as well as Antarctica, PMD stated.
The annular solar eclipse, often called a “ring of fire” eclipse on October 2 will primarily be visible in parts of southern Chile and Argentina.
This marks the first solar eclipse since April when eleven contiguous states in the US experienced totality.
An annular solar eclipse happens when the moon passes directly in front of the sun but is farther away in its orbit.
This positioning causes most of the sun to be obscured, creating a bright ring around the edges, which is why it’s called a “ring of fire.”
