Senator Sherry Rehman to boycott Neo TV over Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s fiasco, demands apology

Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s recent remarks during live TV show has created quite a storm in the country.

After his abusive remarks against activist Marvi Sirmed, several celebrities, and public figures came out condemning Khalilur Rehman.

Like many others, Senator Sherry Rehman has also come forward calling out at the TV anchor and demanding to boycott Khalilur Rehman’s presence in any other TV show.

In a tweet, Sherry Rehman wrote: “I will not accept any show on NeoTv Network until this anchor apologises and this abusive man is boycotted. If others (men and women) do the same when asked for shows this kind of disrespect to women may not get impunity. Women’s rights are human rights. Enough of this nonsense,”

However, the anchor of the show as issued an apology on social media.

Ayesha Ehtesham, in a tweet, described it as an “extremely sorry state of affairs”.
