Seven Areas of Lahore Put under Smart Lockdown after Surge in COVID Cases

The administration in Lahore has put another seven areas under smart lockdown for two weeks after a surge in COVID-19 cases.

According to the notification issued by the Punjab Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, the areas under lockdown include Askari X, Defence Phase II and III, Sarwar Colony, and Shad Bagh.

As per the orders, the entry and exit points of the neighbourhoods have been sealed and people have been advised not to leave their houses without face masks.

All the shopping centers, schools, restaurants, and offices in the areas have also been closed.

The health officials will reexamine the coronavirus situation in the above-mentioned areas after two weeks.
