Sharjeel Inaam Memon, Hyderabad district focal person for COVID-19 and the former provincial minister has tested positive for coronavirus, it emerged on Monday.
According to official sources, Sharjeel Memon who had also chaired a meeting earlier in the day to review the COVID-19 situation in the district Hyderabad has been tested positive for the virus on Monday night.
After testing positive, Memon went into isolation at his home.
Reportedly, the samples of all members have also sent to the laboratory for further investigation.
Earlier on Monday, Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah also tested positive for COVID-19. On the advice of his doctors, the minister has gone into isolation.
Sindh reported over 800 new coronavirus cases on Monday, taking over all provincial tally to 156,528 cases.
