Sindh has allowed all businesses to remain open with SOPs on May 7 and 8!
All businesses in Sindh will remain open on Friday and Saturday, May 7 and 8, from 6 am to 6 pm while adhering to the coronavirus SOPs, provincial Information Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah announced on Wednesday.
He said that the businesses will be closed from Sunday, for which a notification will be issued.
“It is hoped that the public and the business community will follow the SOPs,” Shah added.
Earlier in the day, the Sindh government announced new COVID restrictions, to help curb coronavirus spread during the last remaining days of Ramazan.
A meeting of the Task Force chaired by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah reviewed the coronavirus situation in the province and noted that the coronavirus infection rate in Karachi increased from 5% to 14.53%.
Pharmacies will be exempted from the new restrictions, while Vaccination centers will operate 24 hours a day.
More restrictions will be imposed after Sunday for the Eid holidays.
