Sindh bans pillion riding on 9th October on occasion of Chelum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A)

Sindh government has banned pillion riding on 9th October on the occasion of Chelum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A).

According to the official notification, the ban is being implemented for security reasons as intensive religious activities such as Majalis and processions are expected to take place.

However, the pillion riding ban in Sindh does not apply women, children under 12 years of age, senior citizens, journalists, personnel of law enforcement agencies, and employees of essential services.

The notification issued by the Sindh Home Department states that in order to maintain law and order situations and avoid any untoward incident during Chelum activities, necessary measures will be taken.
