Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, extended warm greetings to the Hindu community

The Sindh government has announced a two-day holiday for Hindu employees in the province on the occasion of Holi, the festival of colours.

The holidays will be observed on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14, 2025.

This decision allows Hindu employees ample time to participate in the festivities associated with Holi.

As per the notification, Hindu employees in Sindh will receive leave to celebrate the religious occasion.

Sindh’s Senior Minister, Sharjeel Inam Memon, extended warm greetings to the Hindu community, noting that Holi represents joy and unity.

“The Sindh government has declared these holidays to enhance the joy of our Hindu brothers and sisters,” he stated.

Memon underscored Sindh’s heritage of peace, tolerance, and religious harmony, where people of all faiths coexist with mutual respect.

He reaffirmed that, under the leadership of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the provincial government has taken substantial steps to protect minority rights.

“For the first time in Pakistan’s history, the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has elected a minority representative, Anthony Naveed, as Speaker and Krishna Kohli as Senator,” Memon remarked.

He also praised the Sindh government for initiatives such as the establishment of the Sindh Minorities Commission, financial aid and scholarships for minority students, and the renovation of temples and other religious sites.

Moreover, Memon highlighted job quotas and welfare programs for minority communities, ensuring improved opportunities for them.

“The Sindh government remains dedicated to taking concrete actions for the rights and welfare of minorities,” he added.
