The Sindh government will not close the educational institutions in the province, said Minister for Education Saeed Ghani on Saturday.
And that there would be no winter vacation in Sindh this year.
The decision for the non-closer of education institutes was taken in the meeting of the Steering Committee of Education department Sindh presided by the Sindh Education Minister.
Secretary Schools, Secretary Colleges, and Chairman Educational Boards were in attendance in the meeting.
The meeting was held to review the situation related to rising cases of coronavirus and the decision of closing the schools in the province.
Saeed Ghani stated that the aim of the steering committee meeting was to hold a consultation with all stakeholders on these issues.
“We wanted that the decision should be taken after consultation with all stakeholders,” he added.
He stressed that the SOPs would strictly be implemented in the educational institutions, adding that it was also decided that the institutions can transfer the classes online.
The COVID-19 cases were rising and the ratio of positive cases surged to 3.7 percent, Saeed Ghani added.
