Sindh reports 1,615 new COVID-19 cases and 15 deaths in last 24 hours

Sindh has reported 1,615 new COVID-19 cases and 15 casualties in the last 24 hours.

A statement by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that the number of cases in the province has risen to 179,240 while the death toll is 2,983, the statement said.

Furthermore, 1,831 patients have reportedly recovered in the province.

According to the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), among the province, overall Sindh has the highest rate of 14.1% while Azad Jammu and Kashmir, which is under complete lockdown, stands at the second spot with a ratio of 11.9%.

Karachi has the highest positivity rate of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in Pakistan as per the NCOC statement.

The NCOC on Thursday told that Karachi’s positivity rate of the virus has spiked up to 20.12%, which is the highest in the country.

Karachi is followed by Hyderabad, where the positivity rate stands at 18.43%. With 14.53% Abbottabad stands at third.
