Sindh reports highest single-day deaths from COVID-19

Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah on Monday said that the province has reported the highest 74 fatalities from COVID-19 in a single day during the last 24 hours.

According to the CM Sindh, the death toll from the highly contagious virus in the province has hit 1,343.

Sindh has reported 1,539 novel coronavirus cases over the past 24 hours. So far, the province has detected 81,985 cases of the deadly infection, as per the statement of CM Sindh. Of them, 45,616 people have recovered.

The number of active cases in the province, told by Murad Ali Shah, stand at 35,026 adding that  33,382 are isloated at home, 88 in quarantine centres and 1,456 patients are in different hospitals.

Murad Ali Shah further added that 660 patients are critically ill while 92 were shifted on ventilators during the last 24 hours.
