Sindh reports over 1500 new COVID-19 cases, 14 deaths on Saturday

Sindh on Saturday has reported over 1500 new COVID-19 cases and14 deaths across the province.

Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said in a statement said that Sindh reported 1,505 coronavirus cases and 14 deaths during the last 24 hours.

He added that the cases to have emerged today are 50 percent more than those diagnosed just a day ago.

He said that 14,572 tests were conducted during the past 24 hours.

With the new cases, the provincial total has surged to 225,509 while the death toll has risen to 3,693.

He added that out of the total cases reported, 1,258 were from Karachi only.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the pandemic has claimed 40 lives across Pakistan, and 2007 new infection cases were reported during the past 24 hours.

About 1,617 patients have recovered from the virus in a day and 2,266 patients are in critical condition.

Pakistan’s total count of active cases is 33,474.
