Six supermarkets across the metropolitan have been sealed on the directives of Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Shallwani.
The action was taken against the supermarkets for violating social distancing guidelines and price rates set by the government for food items.
The names of six supermarkets sealed are as following:
1. Imtiaz Supermarket, Gulshan-i-Iqbal
2. Imtiaz Supermarket, Bahudarabad
3. Imtiaz Supermarket, Tariq Road
4. Naheed Supermarket, Shaheed-e-Millat Road
5. Chase Supermarket
6. Bin Hashim Supermarket, University Road
According to the Deputy Commissioner South Karachi, Imtiaz Super Market was found violating SOPS set by the Home Department related to #COVID19, and AC Civil Lines took the action on Thursday.
