The rain with strong winds has turned the weather of the metropolis quite pleasant on Monday afternoon. Karachi has been soaring with high temperatures for the last 3 days.
Many areas of Karachi received light drizzle after a pretty hot start of the day. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast light rain in the city.
According to the MET department’s Karachi director Sardar Sarfaraz, Karachi is likely to receive rains on September 25 and 26.
MET department had earlier issued a forecast of heatwave for Karachi.
Mr. Sarfaraz while talking to Samaa TV said that a tropical depression in the Arabian Sea region has transformed into a storm. The lack of air in the sea has halted the sea breeze, increasing humidity across Karachi.
However, it is not a threat for Karachi, he further added that the storm is heading west and will hit Oman.
As being predicted, another low-pressure area is likely to come towards Karachi from India’s Gujarat between September 26 and 29, which could result in the halting of the sea breeze.
