2 Sisters Arrested in Gujranwala for Killing Abusive Father by Setting Him on Fire

The sisters reportedly took petrol from a motorcycle and set their father ablaze while he slept.

Two teenage sisters in Gujranwala were arrested for allegedly killing their father by setting him on fire as an act of revenge for years of sexual abuse.

As reported, the incident occurred on January 1, and the father succumbed to his injuries on January 7.

According to police reports, the eldest sister claimed that their father had been raping her for over a year and had attempted to rape the younger sister twice. The sisters decided to take matters into their own hands, seeking what they termed a “permanent solution” to their suffering.

The sisters reportedly took petrol from a motorcycle and set their father ablaze while he slept. This act was described as part of a “well-planned conspiracy,” with allegations that the women drugged the victim before tying him to a bed.

Both mothers, who are married to the deceased man, were aware of the ongoing abuse but were not informed about the sisters’ plan for revenge. One mother has been arrested, while the other is currently being questioned by authorities.

As per a First Information Report (FIR) dated January 1, the complainant received a call around 5 am on the same day, informing her that her brother had been severely burned and transferred to Lahore’s Jinnah Hospital.

The FIR states that the victim’s two wives and two daughters were living in the same house. The complainant alleged that the women conspired in a “well-planned plot” to drug the victim, tie him to a bed, and set him on fire after dousing him with petrol.

According to the report, the daughters confessed to the crime in an audio recording available with the complainant.
