The first phase of the Raiwind Ijtema concludes
The first phase of the Raiwind Ijtema 2021 concluded on Sunday.
Participants prayed for the triumph of Islam and national security, beseeching Allah Almighty’s mercy and seeking forgiveness of their sins.
The International Tableeghi Ijtema in Raiwind had begun on Thursday after Asr prayers. Due to corona, the gathering has been limited in number and it has been held in phases for the last two years.
The second phase will be held from November 11 to 14. Delegates from Kohat, Orakzai, Adamkhel, Malakand, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, Gujarat, Sialkot, and Narwal will participate in the second phase.
A day earlier, Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi along with his son Rasikh Elahi and grandson Usman Zahoor Elahi attended the Raiwind Tableeghi Ijtema committee meeting.
He was received by Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Minister for Minerals, and Chairman Raiwind Tableeghi Ijtema Committee.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi had a special meeting with Ameer Tableeghi Jamaat Maulana Nazar-ur-Rehman.
At the request of Ch Pervaiz Elahi, Maulana Nazar-ur-Rehman offered special prayers for the security of the country and the nation, peace, and order, and eradication of corona, dengue epidemic, and rising inflation.
The speaker also met Tableeghi Jamaat members from India and other countries and inquired about their welfare.
Punjab police have chalked out a comprehensive security plan for the first and second phases of the annual congregation in Raiwind, Tableeghi Ijtima, to be held from November 4 to Nov 14.
