‘There is no ban on political activities in Lahore,’ Caretaker CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi
‘There is no ban on political activities in Lahore,’ says Caretaker CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi.
In a tweet shared on Monday, Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi stated that there was no ban on political activities in the province, particularly in Lahore.
The statement from CM comes after the provincial government imposed Section 144 in Lahore on Sunday.
“There is NO Ban on political activities. All political parties are freely allowed to campaign. We have restricted Rallies and Political activities for today as we have PSL Cricket Match, team movements and Marathon in Lahore which were all planned and announced much in advance,” CM tweeted.

On the other hand, PTI leaders have criticised the Punjab government’s decision to impose Section 144 in Lahore after PTI Leader Imran Announced holding a rally in Lahore.
PTI leader Shireen Mazari in a tweet said, “So is 144 only for PTI & its right to campaign for elections already scheduled? Also, how can PSL take place when Lahore is under 144 given the no of people gathered together? Murderer Mohsin Naqvi has destroyed the Rule of Law replacing it with law of the jungle!”
