Twitter and Facebook on Tuesday have suspended several newly created right-leaning accounts for posting information about voting in the U.S. election for violating, terming it as the violations of their policies.
The accounts suspended by Twitter included FJNewsReporter, Crisis_Intel, Faytuks, SVNewsAlerts.
SVNewsAlerts, a Twitter handle, as being reported had more than78,000 followers, after adding more than 10,000 in the past week.
The microblogging site, Twitter in a statement said that Twitter the accounts had been suspended for violating its policy against “coordination,” posting identical content while appearing independent or engaging in other covertly automated behavior.
The new suspended account frequently warned of election-related unrest and highlighted issues with voting safety and reliability. It pointed at fraud claims about Democrats and called attention to Republican President Donald Trump’s rallies and speeches.
Likewise, Facebook suspended a number of accounts for inauthentic behavior.
Reportedly, a Facebook page also named SVNewsAlerts, which remains active, has more than 20,000 followers.
Though, Facebook declined to comment further.
