Twitter receives complaint about President of Pakistan Arif Alvi’s tweet on Srinagar

President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Alvi has received an email from the Twitter company, which indicates complaints filed over his tweet regarding Srinagar.

However, his account will not be suspended says social media giant, as Twitter does not find the tweet to be in violation of its rules.

Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr. Shireen Mazari has shared a screenshot of the said email on her Twitter account, calling the action “bad taste and simply ridiculous”.

Sharing the screenshot, the federal minister wrote, “Twitter has really gone too far in becoming a mouthpiece of the Rogue Modi govt! They sent a notice to our President! In bad taste and simply ridiculous”.

The shared email informs that that Twitter had received a complaint regarding a tweet he posted on August 24. It added that Twitter had “investigated the reported content and could not identify any violations of the Twitter rules or applicable law”.

“Accordingly, we have not taken any action at this time,” the email read.
