Two Women Conduct First Women Only Space Walk

In the first of its kind event, a women only astronaut team has carried out space walk on Friday garnering attention from all over the world.

“Friday’s all-woman spacewalk is generating public interest we normally don’t get for a spacewalk. Here are the basics on the spacewalk itself, how to watch and how to participate in the conversation,” said NASA on its website.

The two American astronauts Jessica Meir and Christina Koch took part in the mission to replace a part of the International Space Station. The mission began at 11:38 GMT as the two ladies alongside spacecraft communicator Stephanie Wilson commenced the operation.
