The US government has issued visas to ailing Umer Sharif and his family members on Thursday.
Umer Sharif and his family are likely to fly to the US after getting the visa within a day or two.
Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab shared the confirmation of the development in a tweet and also thanked the US consulate for issuing visas.
“Even happier to inform that the visa has been issued just now. Thank u to the team at US Consulate for the support extended,” he tweeted.
He added that the air ambulance will arrive tomorrow.

“Happy to inform that visa interviews of Omer Sharif Sahab’s family have taken place today. Very grateful to US consulate for exempting the presence of Omer Bhai for issuance of visa. Let us all continue to pray for the good health of one of the greatest comedians of the sub continent,” he wrote.
Pakistan’s veteran comedian and actor Umer Sharif is currently under treatment at a private hospital in Karachi.
