Pakistan’s renowned novelist and screenwriter Umera Ahmed’s highly anticipated novel ‘Alif’ has been released nationwide today.
The story plot of the novel “Alif” sounds very promising, as Umera Ahmed had exclusively shared few details with OY previously while talking about the launch of the Alif’s audiobook.
The novel is based on 8 chapters, which is a journey of four characters. Each chapter builds upon the letters of a character named “Husn-e-Jahan”.
As being stated the story is set in two different countries with half set in Turkey and the other half unfolding in Pakistan.
On asking about her expectations about the book, Umera replied, “What I have in mind is that the readers have high expectations. Every time when you come up with a book it doesn’t matter how established writer you are,
every new book is a new challenge for the writer to make up with the reader’s expectations. It’s just like you go for playing a new match, you aim high and try to score high and please your audience”.
The 42-year-old writer has become a recognized figure of Urdu popular fiction all over the world. Umera’s numerous masterpieces of writing which include ‘Baaghi’, ’Ishq Main Aur Kafir’, and ‘Daraar’, have been adapted into numerous drama serials by major production houses of Pakistan.
The story of ‘Alif ’is already being adapted into a drama of the same name ‘Alif’, is in production and will be to released soon. So if anyone can not contain their excitement enough about the release of the drama then they can get their hands on the novel now.
