Upcoming film “Bharat” reunites Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff after 8 years.

Bollywood’s upcoming film Bharat, which is scheduled to release on Eid next year, has reunited Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff on screen after 8 years. Both the stars have previously worked together in many Bollywood films, the list include Bandhan (1998), Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000), Kyon Ki (2005) and Veer (2010), among several others.

Jackie Shroff will be playing Salman Khan’s father in the film. Helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Bharat is a period drama based on the Korean film, Ode To My Father.

Bharat will be showcasing the beautiful bond shared by a father and son, that is the reason being described by director Zafar to rope in Jackie Shroff to play Salman Khan’s father in the film. While talking to an Indian publication the film director told, “We met Jaggu da (Jackie Shroff) in London and discussed his dates and looks. I have wanted to work with him for a long time as I feel he is the perfect amalgamation of a star and actor. I was very glad as Jackie sir instantly agreed with the story to do the film in just 20 mins of narration.”

According to the media reports the team of film “Bharat” started with their first shoot schedule in Mumbai, film director kept us all posted with the updates.

After that, the next schedule of shoot was wrapped up in Malta recently. And for the next shoot schedule team Bharat will be arriving at Abu Dhabi, joined in by Jackie Shroff.

The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial also stars Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Tabu and Sunil Grover and it is also the third collaboration between Ali Abbas Zafar and Salman Khan.
