“We made you the Prime Minister”, an exchange of bitter words between Pervez Khattak and Imran Khan has been reported on Thursday.

The internal story of the parliamentary party meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan has come to light in which bitter words have been exchanged between Defense Minister Pervez Khattak and the Prime Minister.

The mini-budget is under discussion at the National Assembly these days and before the passage of the supplementary finance bill, a meeting of the parliamentary members was convened to take the members of the National Assembly into confidence.

However, the situation reportedly worsened in the meeting.

Pervez Khattak, Noor Alam, and other members expressed strong reservations about the mini-budget, inflation, sovereignty of SBP.

According to sources, the Defense Minister and former Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak said in the meeting that we have made you the Prime Minister. Gas is banned in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, we generate gas and electricity and we are still there, if this is your attitude then we will not be able to vote in the next elections.

According to sources, the Prime Minister stood up as Pervez Khattak’s talked and said that if you are not satisfied with me, I will give the government to someone else.

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan gave a stern reply to Pervez Khattak and said that you are blackmailing me in front of everyone, I will not be blackmailed, you cannot blackmail me, I am not doing government to make property, I am calling you every day and asking for votes. Every day I am asking the IMF to reduce taxes. I have neither factories nor any business.

According to sources, the Prime Minister further said that if this is your blackmail then invite the opposition to come and govern.

According to sources, on this occasion, Energy Minister Hamad Azhar tried to speak in the middle, but Pervez Khattak interrupted him and said that he was talking to the Prime Minister.

According to sources, the Prime Minister expressed his displeasure on hearing Pervez Khattak’s speech and started walking away from the meeting.

However, senior members of the National Assembly stopped him. However, Pervez Khattak left the meeting.

Pervez Khattak also slammed Hamad Azhar and Finance Minister Shaukat Tareen.

According to sources, the atmosphere of the meeting was tense and the objectives of the meeting could not be achieved as the Prime Minister could not formally discuss the issue of money budget with the members of the National Assembly.

Member Assembly Noor Alam also asked questions in the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. He asked the Prime Minister whether the security agencies would not be affected by the autonomy of the SBP. Will we also jump on the IMF account details of security agencies?

On this, the Prime Minister said that he wanted to make it clear that there would be no compromise on the national interest, adding that the security of security agencies was the first and foremost priority.

Then Noor Alam Khan asked if we will get gas, water, and electricity from the mini-budget?

According to sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan also answered questions from other members of the Assembly during the meeting.

It may be recalled that the government has mobilized for the approval of the mini-budget in the National Assembly and today Prime Minister Imran Khan himself came to the Parliament House and was presiding over a meeting of the parliamentary party before the National Assembly session during which bitter words were exchanged.
