Users reported they were unable to share multimedia including photos, videos, GIFs, and stickers on the instant messaging platform.
WhatsApp’s Status option was also not functioning properly.
According to reliable tracking websites, WhatsApp users in India, Malaysia, Brazil, Europe, and the US were affected by the outage.
