Winter is coming! Buckle up Karachiites its going to be record-breaking cold

It’s time to buckle up in warm clothes for Karachiites as the Met Office predicts a record-breaking cold temperature for the metropolis starting from Monday.

The Met Office on Saturday said that the weather is expected to drop down to the single-digit in Karachi.

A new wave of westerly winds has entered the country due to which the severity of cold will increase in Karachi from Monday to Friday, says Met Office.

Another cold wave is expected to take ahold of the city in January and, according to the Met department, it could rain as well in Karachi from January 6-7.

Earlier on November 29th, 2020 Karachi recorded its coldest morning with 10.5 degrees Celsius.

It was the lowest temperature recorded during the month of November in the last 10 years for Karachi, according to a statement from the meteorological department.

The last time Karachi recorded a minimum single-digit temperature was in 2013 when the mercury fell to 6°C.
