Winter vacations for schools and colleges in Sindh have been announced!
According to the Sindh government’s notification issued on Thursday, all schools and colleges in the province will remain closed for winter vacations from December 20 to January 01.
The educational institutes will reopen on Monday, January 3.
the decision was taken in a meeting of the subcommittee to the steering committee of the education department Sindh, chaired by Education Secretary Ghulam Akbar Laghari.
It was earlier reported that no winter vacations as the educational institutes reopened after a long lockdown owing to the COVID pandemic.
However, the new decision has been taken in view of the cold and dry weather in the province.
The Met Office has predicted that the temperatures in Karachi and other parts of Sindh are expected to drop to as low as 10°C.
