Youth dies, another injured in an accident during PTI long march Day 6

Rescue officials said they were supposed to take part in the PTI's anti-government campaign.

A youth is reported to have died and another was injured in an accident during PTI long march on Day 6, Wednesday.

As reported, a 14-year-old boy on a motorcycle died and an 11-year-old boy was seriously injured by Imran Khan’s container on the Rawalpindi-Gujranwala bypass.

Rescue officials said that the victims were supposed to take part in the PTI’s anti-government campaign.

Rescue 1122 officials said the container was coming at a fast speed from the wrong way, which led to the collision.

While media outlet claimed that a youth died and another sustained serious injuries after being struck by a dumper during the PTI’s long march anchoring at Pindi Bypass in Gujranwala.

Multimedia journalist Arshad Chaudhry shared some visual details of the accident in a tweet.

He claimed that the PTI container was rushing at high speed from the wrong direction. He said that 14 year old was killed in the accident while another boy of 11 years was injured.

Following the incident, the people blocked the road in a protest and chanted slogans against PTI chief Imran Khan.

 

This is the third reported death caused by Imran Khan’s container including female journalist Sadaf Naeem.

It was reported earlier that a man passed away in the hospital due to injuries he suffered after falling from a truck that was part of the PTI’s long march convoy.
