Unbelievable, we never saw that coming from the Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul Wazir hs left social media in stitches with her bizarre definition of COVID-19.
While appearing on PTV’s current affairs show, she said that”COVID-19 means that it has 19 points that can be applied in any country in any way”.
We hope WHO wasn’t listening to this bizarre definition of COVID-19 by our federal minister.
Her remarks have left the social media in frenzy, and some still couldn’t get out of the shock, to be honest.

COVID-19 actually means ‘Coronavirus disease 2019’. The ‘CO’ in the word stands for corona, ‘VI’ for the virus, and ‘D’ for the disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to as ‘2019 novel coronavirus’ or ‘2019-nCoV.’
And there was a clarification issued by Zartaj Gul Wazir regarding COVID-19 statement
The federal minister took to Twitter a few hours after her video clip from the news show started trending on social media, saying:
“Every day I appear on national TV and speak without a piece of paper (parchi). Wanted to say that the infections effect and intensity varies across different countries. Instead of crying on the situation over a minor mistake, maybe that will be better for them. I am not afraid of criticism, it strengthens me.”
روزانہ ٹی وی پر گھنٹوں بات کرتی ہوں، پرچی کے بغیر۔ 😊— Zartaj Gul Wazir (@zartajgulwazir) June 20, 2020
Wouldnt it be great if federal minister and other government representatives do a little bit of homework before making any public appearance especially if they have to appear before the nation on television and embarrass everyone with their fragile knowledge.
It is better to write valid points in a piece of paper or parchi rather than misguiding public!
