Another proud moment for Pakistan! Sarmad Khoosat’s film Zindagi Tamasha has won the Kim Ji-Seok Award at the Busan International Film Festival. The prizes were announced Saturday morning in Busan, South Korea.
Zindagi Tamasha won this award along with the Indian film ‘Market’. The happy news was shared by the Khoosat Films Official Instagram account.
The Kim Ji-Seok Award is named after the festival’s co-founder and executive programmer who passed away in 2017. The chair for this award was headed by Iranian filmmaker Mohsen Makhmalbaf, while the jury included Malaysian director-actress Tan Chui Mui and Korean film critic Huh Moon-young.
The film had its world premiere on the 6th of October at Busan International Film Festival. Sarmad Khoosat (director) and Arif Hasan (lead actor) were in Busan representing Khoosat Films.
The date of release for Pakistan will be announced soon through the social media handles of Khoosat Films.
