Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr Clarifies Political Ambitions Amid Speculation
Bhutto's background as an artist and activist has focused on environmental issues, including the protection of the Indus River and its wildlife

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Jr, the grandson of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and a prominent artist and activist, has addressed recent speculation about his entry into politics.
Following an interview on Aaj News where he was introduced as a potential new figure in politics, Bhutto clarified that he is still learning about Pakistan’s political landscape and has not made any definitive moves into politics yet.
Bhutto stated on Instagram to clarify his position, emphasizing that he does not hold any formal role within the Pakistan Peoples Party Shaheed Bhutto (PPP-SB), which was founded by his late father, Mir Murtaza Bhutto. He highlighted the importance of his father’s legacy and the need for authentic information, stressing that only statements from his verified accounts should be considered genuine.

Despite the clarification, Bhutto has expressed interest in entering politics in the future, particularly with the PPP-SB. He has voiced strong opposition to the Six Canals project, describing it as a “life or death” issue for Sindh and a form of “cultural genocide” due to its potential impact on water resources.
Bhutto’s background as an artist and activist has focused on environmental issues, including the protection of the Indus River and its wildlife. His work often explores themes of resilience and resistance, reflecting his family’s political legacy and his personal commitment to social and environmental causes.
