In less than a month of its release Avengers: Endgame has successfully managed to shatter some box office records. Earlier we reported that the movie hit $2 billion benchmark within 11 days as compared to 47 days of Avatar, the highest grossing movie ever, and now it is of course the second highest grossing movie ever after toppling Titanic which was sitting at the throne for last 22 years.
The director of Titanic James Cameron took to Twitter and congratulated Marvel and its president Kevin Feige, for the achievement.
With an image of a sinking Titanic, Cameron said, “An iceberg sank the real Titanic. It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic.”

“Everyone here at Lightstorm Entertainment salutes your amazing achievement. You’ve shown that the movie industry is not only alive and well, it’s bigger than ever!” added Cameron who still holds the record for the highest grossing movie ever with his 2009 sci-fi movie Avatar.
