Auckland-born Maddy Green made her international debut in a T20I against Australia in 2012, aged 19. She first gained global attention during her whirlwind 62-ball century in New Zealand's record total of 490 for 4 against Ireland in 2018. In the WODI, she went on to smash 121 off 77 balls in a record 346-run win. The allrounder was also called up to represent New Zealand in the 2018 T20 World Cup hosted by the West Indies.
Green won the Ruth Martin Cup for her impressive batting in domestic cricket at the New Zealand Cricket Awards 2018.
