A new PSL anthem sung by Ali Zafar is coming out soon and fans are eagerly awaiting the song as they were way too disappointed by this year’s official PSL anthem ‘Tayyar Hain’ in the vocals of Ali Azmat.
In the wake of the comparison being drawn on social media between Zafar and Azmat’s anthems, the rockstar said that any song made for Pakistan Super League (PSL) by anyone just adds to the celebration and we should encourage it as a nation and own it.
The rockstar took to Instagram and reminded fans, who are constantly drawing a comparison between the two singers, that every year PSL releases an anthem, which is not meant to compete or be better than the previous year’s track.
“Any song made for this occasion by anyone just adds to the celebration and we should encourage it as a nation and own it,” Azmat wrote.
He urged fans to focus on the message of unity the PSL anthems are sending out, rather than emphasizing on who has sung them.
“We seem to have forgotten the message of unity the song is giving and focus on the who is singing it,” he added.
“We welcome all songs from fellow artists who are celebrating their love for cricket and their country too. Pakistan hai hamara, Pakistan hai tumhara. (Pakistan is ours, Pakistan is yours) Pakistan Zindabad!” Azmat concluded.
