Mera Rab Waris Episode 35 Review: Madiha Imam’s portrayal of Aisha is worth applause!

A drama that excellently highlights conflicts between a liberal man marrying a religious woman with an engaging narrative and brilliant direction, Mera Rab Waris produced under the banner of 7th Sky Entertainment, touches upon a serious issue currently faced by a majority of youth in our society. Audiences are loving the intense tale of Ayesha and Haris’s lives, who belong to same social strata but are completely opposite in their personalities and now when the drama has almost reached to a wrap-up, it has become even more intriguing.

The story took a major turn in the last episode with Mazhar swearing by Quran on Faizi and Ayesha’s extramarital affair in front of Haris and this one was mainly a follow up of that. Zaheeruddin is back in town and quickly understands that the damage to Ayesha and Hari’s relationship is being caused by the cunning Mazhar and when her daughter Nimra seconds that, he determines to bring Ayesha back but is extremely guilty and sad over injustice been done to an innocent soul in his house.

Starring powerhouse actors Danish Taimoor and Madiha Imam in the lead along with an ensemble supporting cast consisting the likes of late Abid Ali and Seemi Pasha, Mera Rab Waris has been on our list of must-watch serials every week. While all the actors have put in their best, it is Madiha Imam who truly stands out in each and every episode of the play, portraying the religious yet independent and strong Ayesha with such poise and versatility that we can’t help but admire her. The positivity of her personality, her flawless dialogue delivery and her confidence even after almost reaching the brink of divorce is worth applause.

Usually, it is assumed that religious girls are meek and timid but in Mera Rab Waris, Madiha Imam puts all such assumptions to rubbish and proves otherwise by essaying very well the character of a girl who is firm in her religious beliefs but at the same time owns a strong and intelligent personality. Her role is one in which she faces a lot of resistance, from society and her husband due to her strong religious views but that doesn’t stop her from being who she is.

Madiha Imam has truly impressed us with the unique and challenging role of Ayesha with her amazing performance throughout and we would love to see her playing such out of the box characters in future as well.

As for the play, the teaser of the next episode hinted towards a positive turn of events in the life of the lead couple. Well, let’s just wait for next Thursday to watch the upcoming episode of Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi’s mega-hit serial Mera Rab Waris.
