Abid Ali has been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome!

Pakistan opener Abid Ali has been diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared in a statement.

Abid Ali was rushed to the hospital as suffered chest pain during the Quaid-e-Azam trophy match being played in Karachi on Tuesday.

The Central Punjab batsman felt pain while batting in the match against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. 

According to PCB, he is under the care of a consultant cardiologist who is liaising with the PCB medical team regarding further treatment.

“He is currently stable,” the statement said.

The PCB requested the media and fans to “respect his and the family’s privacy at this time”.
