In doing so, he became the 3rd fastest batsmen to reach 11 hundreds in ODI Cricket. The 24-year-old also reached ODI 1,000 runs in 2019 in 19 innings making him the fastest Pakistan to achieve this feat.
Ahead of Babar in the quickest 11 ODI hundreds list are South African openers Hashim Amla (64 innings) and Quinton De Kock (65 innings). Babar overtook Indian maestro Virat Kohli, who took 82 innings to get to 11 hundreds.

Amongst his Pakistani peers, he overtook legendary Javed Miandad’s record by reaching 1000 ODI runs in a calendar year in just 19 innings. The number one T20I batsman in the world is the 10th Pakistani to achieve this milestone. In 2013, Mohammad Hafeez and Misbah ul Haq both scored over 1300 runs.
Mohammad Yousuf, was the more prolific in this regard, getting a thousand runs in 2000, 2002, and 2003. Aamir Sohail, Inzamam ul Haq, Mohammad Hafeez, and Ijaz Ahmed have achieved this feat twice, while Javed Miandad, Younis Khan, Saeed Anwar and Misbah ul Haq achieved it once in their careers.
