Babar Azam’s Phone Stunt Sparks Fan Backlash

Fans want him to Focus on Cricket, Not Marketing!

Babar Azam recently created a stir on social media by announcing that he had lost his phone and all his contacts. Initially, fans were concerned and expressed support for him to recover his phone.

However, it soon became apparent that this was not a genuine incident but rather a marketing stunt for a brand.

It started with Babar Azam’s post on his Instagram story claiming that his phone was lost or stolen causing him to lose all his contacts.

And later it was revealed that the entire incident was part of a marketing campaign for a private company.

Many found humour in the situation and poked fun at Babar Azam’s post by referencing past instances where he had supported other players during difficult times.

Some fans were disappointed and urged Babar to focus on improving his cricket performance rather than engaging in publicity stunts.

This incident highlights how celebrities can use social media creatively for marketing purposes but also face scrutiny when their actions are perceived as distracting from their professional responsibilities. As Babar Azam prepares for significant roles like opening in the Champions Trophy, maintaining fan trust remains crucial.

Babar Azam’s recent performance has been a mix of highs and lows across different formats and this has led to fans’ concern ahead of crucial tournaments.

Babar played a crucial role in Pakistan’s series sweep against South Africa. He scored 23 runs in the first ODI, contributed significantly with 73 runs in the second, and added 52 runs off 71 balls in the third.
