Chennai Super Kings Hit by Ball-Tampering, Match-Fixing Allegations After Viral Video

A viral video on social media has sparked controversy, with fans accusing Chennai Super Kings (CSK) of ball tampering and match-fixing following victory over Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23.  in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season.

The video, which has been widely shared on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, allegedly shows suspicious activity involving CSK players handling the ball. This has led to an uproar among cricket fans, with many demanding an official investigation from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the IPL governing body.

The footage shows CSK pacer Khaleel Ahmed and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad exchanging an unidentified object during the match, with Gaikwad seen placing the item in his pocket.

Fans on social media have speculated that this could involve tampering with the ball, though no official complaint has been filed by MI or the IPL governing body

Several MI supporters have also pointed out unusual match incidents, fueling match-fixing allegations. However, as of now, neither CSK nor IPL officials have issued an official response to the claims.
