Colin Munro Breaks PSL Record in Season 10 Opener

Islamabad United’s top-order batter Colin Munro set a new record in the opening match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10.
In the season opener played on Friday, defending champions Islamabad United defeated Lahore Qalandars by 8 wickets.
The match, played at Rawalpindi Stadium, saw United successfully chase down the target of 140 runs in the 18th over.
Aggressive left-handed batter Munro played a match-winning knock of 59* off 42 balls, playing a pivotal role in his team’s commanding victory.
With this half-century, Munro broke the record previously held by Quetta Gladiators’ former captain Rilee Rossouw.
The 50 against Lahore marked Munro’s 13th half-century in PSL history, surpassing Rossouw’s tally of 12 fifties, making Munro the overseas player with the most fifties in the league’s history.
Other foreign batters with multiple fifties in the PSL include Luke Ronchi, Jason Roy, and Shane Watson.
It is worth mentioning that, overall, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam holds the record for having the most 50+ scores in PSL history, with 35 half-centuries to his name.
