Australia is out of the T20 World Cup

England is now headed to T20 World Cup Semifinal after beating Sri Lanka by 4 wickets on Saturday.

England’s nervy victory by four wickets over Sri Lanka in their final Super 12 match on Saturday has sent hosts and defending champions Australia out of the tournament.

The 2010 champions, the English side has claimed a spot in the last four along with Group 1 winners New Zealand.

The other two semi-finalists from Group 2 will be decided on Sunday.

Sri Lankans were restricted to 141 for eight when batting first by superb death bowling from Mark Wood (3-26) and Sam Curran.

While chasing, England reached their target with two balls to spare.

Stokes (42 not out) and Chris Woakes (five not out) got them across the line in the final over on 144 for six.

For today’s match, Sri Lanka made one change, bringing in Chamika Karunaratne in place of Pramod Madushan, while England went unchanged in their must-win game.
