F1 Turkish Grand Prix to be held without an audience in November

F1 Turkish Grand Prix will be held without an audience from November 13 to 15 next at the Bosphorus city circuit, to avoid the spread of coronavirus infections.

The decision was made by the authorities of Istanbul on Monday.

The country’s health council established since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to adopt measures against the spread of the virus agreed to the decision after evaluating the risks of the race.

The decision the governor of Istanbul, Ali Yer, was shared in a statement published on the official website of the institution, which depends on the Turkish Interior Ministry.

It was earlier in June when Formula 1, Grand Prix in Azerbaijan, Singapore, and Japan were cancelled in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
