Fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar has been reportedly summoned by the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing in connection with his spat with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) legal adviser Tafazzul Rizvi.
According to the news sources in that Shoaib Akhtar has been ordered to appear before the agency on Friday at 11 am.
However, Shoaib Akhtar’s team denies receiving any notice from the FIA.
His lawyer, Abuzar Salman Niazi, told Geo News that “My client has not received any notice from the FIA,”
“If a notice is received, we will respond with a reasonable answer”, he further added.

It was earlier in April when Shoaib Akhtar accused Tafazzul Rizvi of profiteering by creating protracted legal disputes between the board and its players and called him an inept person of the highest order.
In response to Shoaib Akhtar’s accusations, the PCB adviser had filed an Rs10-million defamation suit against Shoaib Akhtar.
“The remarks given by Shoaib Akhtar has affected my goodwill,” Rizvi had said.
“He said false things about me on social media. His remarks were seen and heard abroad as well. Therefore, I decided to take legal action against him.”
