The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the Men’s One Day International (ODI) Team of the Year for 2024 on Friday, featuring three prominent Pakistani players: Saim AyubShaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf. This selection highlights their exceptional performances over the past year.

The ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year for 2024 features players primarily from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka, reflecting a shift in dominance away from traditional cricketing powerhouses like India and Australia. The team includes:

Other team players include Rahmanullah Gurbaz (Afghanistan), Pathum Nissanka (Sri Lanka), Kusal Mendis (WK) (Sri Lanka), Charith Asalanka (C) (Sri Lanka), Sherfane Rutherford (West Indies), Azmatullah Omarzai (Afghanistan), Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka) and AM Ghazanfar (Afghanistan).
