Imam-ul-Haq Speaks Out After Champions Trophy 2025 Snub
He last played an ODI during the World Cup 2023

Imam-ul-Haq has publicly expressed his feelings following his exclusion from Pakistan’s squad for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
In a cryptic social media post, the left-handed opener stated, “Not the outcome I expected, but the journey isn’t over. This is how life is—it’s all about growth and getting stronger with every hurdle. Patience and trust in Allah is the key!”

His omission comes after a challenging period in international cricket, where he last played an ODI during the World Cup 2023 and faced difficulties in a Test match against Australia in December 2023. Despite these setbacks, Imam made a notable comeback in domestic cricket, scoring 635 runs at an average of 79.37 in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2024-25, which included three centuries.
The announcement of the Champions Trophy squad saw several changes, with notable players like Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique also being left out. The team will be captained by Mohammad Rizwan and includes experienced players such as Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
