India announces 15-player squad for ICC Men’s Champions Trophy

India will be competing in Dubai, with their first match scheduled against Bangladesh on Feb 20

India officially announced its 15-player squad for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, with Rohit Sharma serving as the captain and Shubman Gill as the vice-captain.

The squad includes prominent players such as Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who missed a portion of the Sydney Test due to injury, has also been included in the squad, although Bumrah’s fitness remains a concern due to recent back issues.

Meanwhile, Harshit Rana has been included in the squad as reportedly as a precautionary measure due to Bumrah’s uncertain fitness status

India will be competing in Dubai, with their first match scheduled against Bangladesh on February 20, followed by a highly anticipated clash with Pakistan on February 23.

India squad: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammad Shami, Arshdeep Singh, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja.

BCCI chief selector Ajit Agarkar will closely monitor Bumrah’s condition leading up to the tournament, especially as he recovers from back spasms that affected his performance in recent matches
