Former Pakistan captain and ex-chief selector Inzamam ul Haq suffered a heart attack and underwent angioplasty on Monday.
Inzamam’s condition was declared stable, however, doctors have placed him under observation.
According to his representative, Inzamam had been feeling chest pain for the past couple of days.
Inzamam’s manager said that a successful angioplasty had been carried out at a private hospital in Lahore, adding, a stent has been successfully placed in his heart.
After tests, it was revealed he had suffered a heart attack and needed immediate surgery.
Following the news, prayers and wishes are pouring in on social media for Inzamam ul Haq’s swift recovery.
He retired from international cricket in 2007 and since then held several positions at Pakistan cricket board, as a batting consultant and then the chief selector from 2016 to 2019.
